TL;DR

Alpha Music helps venues book artists, manage shows, handle payments, and grow their live music business—all in one platform.

Use the Artist Directory to find talent, post gigs to the Jobs Board, manage everything in the Green Room, and get paid automatically through Stripe.

Alpha Music streamlines your booking process—less admin, more shows.

Getting Started

When you register with Alpha Music, you'll create a profile for your venue. This includes the key details artists need to play your room.

Most fields are optional, but the more info you provide, the better.

Once your profile is complete, you'll land on the Dashboard. From there you can manage bookings, messages, payouts, and more.

Stripe Setup

The first thing to do after logging in is connect Stripe. Stripe provides secure, bank-level payments. We'll cover details later.

If you plan to host ticketed shows, join Stripe Connect to sell tickets directly through Alpha Music.

If you only need to pay musicians, simply add a payment method.

Once Stripe is set up, you can start booking artists.

You must connect to Stripe to pay artists and sell tickets.

Finding Talent

There are a few ways to book artists for your venue:

Artist Directory

Visit the Artist Directory to search by name, genre, location, and more.

When you find someone you like, you can add them to your roster, message them, or invite them directly to a show.

The Roster is your saved list of artists for easy access.

Jobs Board

Need a band Friday at 7 PM but don't know who? Post the gig to the Jobs Board when you create an event.

Artists can apply directly, and you'll receive their Alpha Music profile plus performance history.

No more chasing DMs. Everything you need to know about an artist is included. You can still message them on Alpha Music if you have questions before booking.

Direct Invite

From an event page, you can invite artists directly. Discuss details like pay and setlist before confirming the booking.

💡 Pro Tip: Add a link to Alpha Music on your website and socials where artists normally contact you to reduce emails.

Scheduling Shows

Creating Events

Your profile is ready, payments are set, and now it's time to schedule shows.

Go to your Events page to get started.

Create a show by clicking "Create Show" in the top right, or by selecting a date on your calendar.

Enter the event details. At minimum, add a name and start time. You can also choose whether to invite specific artists or post to the Jobs Board, and set pay details here.

For recurring shows, set the interval and end date.

The Green Room

Your Event Hub

Once created, you'll be taken to the Green Room — your hub for the gig. It keeps all details in one place plus a private group chat with the lineup.

From the Green Room you can:

  • Manage the lineup: invite artists or book applicants
  • Set guarantees and payouts
  • Track ticket sales
  • Message the lineup
  • Keep all gig details in one place

No more long email threads. Everything for the show lives here.

Publishing & Tickets

After booking the lineup and depositing funds (if applicable), publish the event. Publishing makes it visible to the public and adds it to your profile. If it's ticketed, tickets will go on sale immediately.

Each artist on the lineup gets a unique ticket link. A general ticket link is also available in the Green Room.

When tickets sell through an artist's unique link, you'll see the sales on the event page. Artists won't see this breakdown — it's for you to track who sells tickets and how many.

After the Gig

Payouts & Reviews

Payouts — whether for guarantee shows or ticketed shows — are released to lineup members 7 days after the gig. This allows time for disputes and payment processing.

You'll also be able to review each artist. Reviews are hidden until both sides submit or after 14 days.

Conclusion

That's it — you're ready to start booking shows on Alpha Music!
